The Fruit Flush Diet is a three-day detoxification program designed to flush the toxin buildup from the body.  Diet Origin

This diet was created in 2005 by clinical nutritionist, Jay Robb, for people who feel they are in need of a detox. The diet was intended as a detoxification program to remove harmful materials from the body to increase stamina, as well as overall health. He targeted his diet towards people who were showing signs of bloating, irritability, carbohydrate addiction, and over eating. He claims that the key to maintaining health and long-term weight loss is to eat a balanced healthy diet with periodic cleanses with fresh raw fruit.


 Sample Diet

Day 1

Every two hours from 8:00 am- 4:00 pm Drink a 6 oz protein shake followed by 8-12 oz of water.

Dinner – 3-6 cups of raw vegetable salad, with a tablespoon of olive or flaxseed oil or 1/2 avocado, plus half a lemon or lime.


Days 2 & 3

Every two hours from 8:00am -4:00pm Eat one serving (100 calories) of fresh fruit and drink 8-12oz of water.

Dinner 3-6 cups of raw vegetable salad, with a tablespoon of olive or flaxseed oil or 1/2 avocado, plus half a lemon or lime.
